not done

Just a tiny glimpse of the photos I'm currently editing. This is from 2 weeks ago when I was at my cousin's wedding in Denmark. I didn't realise how much I missed taking photos. It was such a beautiful day and taking photos of people so full of life and love is simply wonderful. Sometimes I kind of think that I'm "done with photography" until I take some photos again and after that I don't even want to to anything else. I will definitely try to start taking more photos, but I also realised that I prefer to take photos at events like this or do portrait shootings. I love photography in general, but taking photos of people is still the most fun and interesting... Editing has also been fun, but since I've been working a lot, I haven't been making that much progress. I will try to get some more photos done tonight and finish on Wednesday or Thursday. So to everyone who has been (im)patiently waiting, you'll have the photos by the end of this week the latest!

I'm back!

I think... that I actually am back now. The past few months I never really felt like I arrived, but I'm starting to now.
A lot has changed, a lot will change and I am finally excited about that.

What actually motivated me to make a post today though, was the 10 year anniversary of Mean Girls. It makes me feel extremely old and like I should not be wasting anymore time.

Currently reading Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I am halfway through it and it is fantastic and way to relatable.

I am also extremely sorry if I made anyone feel ignored lately. I will try to reply to all messages and be a better friend/person from now on. I kind of isolated myself  during the last few months and it was purely to figure out my own shit and really has nothing to do with me not wanting to talk to you. I hope you all know that.

Flamingo Gardens (Teil 1)

 Im März habe ich mir mit Laura ein paar niedliche Tiere und interessante Pflanzen in "Flamingo Gardens" angeguckt. In Flamingo Gardens werden hauptsächlich kranke oder verletzte Tiere aufgenommen und die Mitarbeiter arbeiten dort als Volontäre. Die Atmosphöre war wunderschön, obwohl einige Tiere eher tragische Vorgeschichten hatten. Diese Art von Tierpark gibt einem aber auf jeden Fall ein viel besseres Gefühl als jeder Zoo, weil man wirklich denkt, dass die Tiere hier besser aufgehoben sind als in der Wildnis auf sich allein gestellt.

Annapolis!

Ende Februar hatte ich auch meinen ersten Mini-Urlaub und habe den bei Caro in Annapolis verbracht!
Da habe ich zum ersten Mal gesehen wie anders Florida wirklich von vielen anderen Staaten in den USA ist. Der Lebensstil und die Einstellung waren in Annapolis einfach komplett anders. Es war schön mal ein paar Tage in einem Staat zu verbringen, wo es sich nicht so hektisch lebt wie in Südflorida. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass ich mich zu dem Zeitpunkt schon etwas an die sommerlichen Wintertemperaturen von Florida gewöhnt hatte und etwas gefroren habe...wobei das eigentlich ganz angenehm war. Obwohl das ein bisschen schwer zu erkären ist, wie man die Kälte vermissen kann...

Achtung! Bilderflut!

 Beim Zugstrecken planen sind wir leider an unsere logistischen Grenzen gestoßen...

 Außerdem sind wir auf einen kleinen Tagestrip nach Washington gefahren:

 Eines der vielen Museen, die wir besucht haben. *räusper* ...

 Total überrascht war ich, als ich mit Caro beim WWII Memorial stand und plötzlich eine bekannte deutsche Stimme gehört habe... Dana, die ich aus der Au Pair Training Schule kannte, war mit ihrem Bruder ebenfalls im Urlaub in Washington! Wie klein die Welt (oder die USA...) doch sind!

Zurück in Annapolis. Da sieht es am Hafen doch fast heimisch aus...
